OA Unit Elections

Has your troop scheduled their unit election yet?

If you are a Scoutmaster or if you know your troop has not scheduled one yet, please contact Kathy at the council office (920-734-5705) to schedule your unit election. Each Boy Scout troop/team is eligible to have one each year. You may schedule your unit election any time from now until March 31. To have a unit election your unit must have at least 1 scout who fits the following criteria:

  1. Be a registered scouter
  2. Be of the first class rank
  3. Have at least 15 days and nights of camping, including one, but no more than one, resident camp or summer camp consisting of 6 days and 5 nights.

Even if you do not have any youth member eligible, you should still contact Kathy at the Council Office (920-734-5705) so we know that your unit doesn't need an election!

Brotherhood Resumes for Vigil Nominations

If you have been a Brotherhood Member for at least two years, you are eligble for nomination for Vigil. If you have been a Brotherhood Member for two years, what we ask you do is fill out a Brotherhood Resume. We will take a look at those and get all of the ideas of what to write on your nomination form.

You can either fill out an online or print and mail yours to the council office. Both methods can be found at http://awase.org

Welcome

Welcome to the home site of the Maqkwokani Chapter!

While you are here, be sure to visit the Chapter Forum. for discussions and ideas on upcoming events, this website, and the chapter.

We hope that you find this site easy to use and informative, and comments are always welcome.

OA Troop/Team Representative

There is many troops/teams who have not notified us of their units OA Troop/Team Representative. Each unit is strongly encouraged to appoint one. It does count as a position fo rank advancement.

Each OA Troop/Team Representative is to attend the monthly chapter meetings, gather any information, and then bring it back to the troop/team's OA Members. It is a great link between the units and the Order of the Arrow.

You can attend any of the chapter meetings and we can get you all signed up to be an OA Troop/Team Representative. Also, we can answer any questions you may have!

Holiday Bowling Party

Come celebrate the holidays with your friends! This year’s Holiday Bowling Party is scheduled for Wednesday, December 30 at Sabre Lanes, starting 10 AM and ending around 12:30PM. The chapter is covering the costs, all you need to do is show up with a can of non perishable food for the local food pantry, and some change for the soda machine(if you want some). We can’t wait to see you all there!

Please note that this is a casual dress event, so keep your uniforms at home so they are nice and clean for Winter Banquet , another words No Uniforms.

Nimat Program
A Nimat is basically somebody who helps an Ordeal member through the process of reaching Brotherhood and making sure that he is fully prepared to receive the Brotherhood. They are encouraged to attend at least two chapter events, two lodge events, and at least one other event that could be another chapter or lodge event or a section, regional, or national event. Over the 10 months it takes to reach Brotherhood. That is kind of what the program is in a nut shell.
If you are interested in being a Nimat or would like further information, please let Chris (Chapter Chief) or Jake (Nimat Chair) know and they would be more than willing to help you out. You can earn a teal bordered patch if you help three ordeal members reach Brotherhood.
We would greatly appreciate anyone who is willing to help out. It truly could make a huge difference in someone's life and mean a lot to them. You also could make a new friend and help develop a fairly new program!
